I recently got the Sigma 105mm EX Macro lens (thank you ebay) and i have been trying it out in the garden. So far i've got some ok results! This lens isn't the most amazing it is an old lens but i didn't want to go crazy and go buy a £700 lens when i've never done macro before, i wanted to see how i go...With my camera being the Nikon D5100 this is manual focus only, but from what i've seen online a lot of people seem to prefer using manual when doing macro work. I have found this pretty hard though, at the moment i've taken these photos just hand held. I'm going to do some more with my tripod soon to see if i get better results, but this is what i've got so far...
